Doctor Garrett

Growing up in Columbus, MS, I was dropped off at my father’s dental practice after school. My mom was the office manager. Now, both of my parents are retired after 30 years of dentistry. They took care of thousands of people with their dental issues.

When I was in the office, I always heard the laughs, conversations, and salutations coming from the treatment rooms. My dad and mom seemed to be having so much fun talking to others. At the same time, they were able to help people. As a child, that’s the environment I want to be apart of in the future.

When I Grow Up

Instead of dental school, my dad and mom told me to look into chiropractic school. Once I graduated with an undergraduate degree, I took my parents advice and pursued a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. After 4 years of chiropractic school, I decided to locate Core Chiropractic in Birmingham, AL.

Birmingham Is Home

Birmingham allows me to experience things that I enjoy. I enjoy being active, eating great food, and helping others. Whether it’s Oak Mountain, Red Mountain, or a local park, there is always a place to take a great hike. The food! There are many great places to eat in Birmingham or close to the office.

Making A Difference In The Community

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jimmie Hale Mission and Jones Valley Teaching Farm as a volunteer. Also, I’m a active member of Southminster Presbyterian Church and Vestavia Hills Sunrise Rotary Club. Make sure to contact those organizations. You’ll meet some wonderful people.
